One Punch Death
The One Punch Campaign aims to raise awareness of ‘One Punch’ attacks. The campaign highlights the risks of getting involved in an argument or fight which could ultimately lead to serious injury or death. In a split second a person can become a killer or be killed. In 2013, 3 people have died as a result of One Punch attacks and many more have been seriously injured. With just One Punch, lives have been destroyed and families’ lives have been wrecked.
The majority of incidents are fuelled by alcohol and can have a devastating impact on the victim and their family. The offender will likely face a murder or manslaughter charge and have a criminal record for the rest of their life. What can start out as a fun night drinking with friends can easily turn into a nightmare. Just One Punch can ruin the lives of both the victim and the person who throws the punch.
Our message is to enjoy your night out, but most importantly - to stay safe.
Ultimately One Punch can kill.
